Dr. Julie Gewon Shu
Dr. Julie Gewon Shu was born in Guam and raised in Orange County. She received her O.D. from Western University of Health Sciences, where she graduated with the highest honors as the valedictorian of her class.
For her academic and clinical achievements, Dr. Shu has been featured in Women in Optometry Magazine and is a recipient of the esteemed Beta Sigma Kappa Silver Medal.
Dr. Shu’s education began at the University of California, Irvine where she received her Bachelor’s in Biology and Master’s in the Art of Teaching. Her desire for helping others motivated her to teach science for several years before making the move to optometry.
As a skilled optometrist who is passionate about eyes, Dr. Shu focuses on pediatrics, contact lenses, and computer vision.
Dr. Shu currently resides in Orange County with her husband and 3 wonderful kids. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, volunteering at her church, attending musicals, and traveling.

Dr. Julianne Dalton
Dr. Julianne Dalton was born and raised in Burbank, California. She attended the California State University, Northridge, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. While working and attending CSUN, she discovered her passion for optometry. Dr. Dalton went on to attend the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) in 2012. It was during her time at SCCO that she was able to begin fostering dogs through an Orange County rescue operation called Barks of Love.
In her fourth year of Optometry school Julianne received a well rounded clinical experience at 4 different rotation sites. Starting out the year at SCCO’s clinic in Anaheim Hills seeing patients in the primary care, contact lens, vision therapy, and disease departments. Next she moved to San Diego rotating between 6 different Navy and Marine base sites getting experience with young, healthy patients. After San Diego she moved to Tucson, Arizona for a change of pace at a VA hospital. Diagnosing and managing many veterans with Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, and Diabetes. To end her final year of Optometry school Dr. Dalton was able to move back home to Burbank interning at a co-management practice, working closely with the Optometrist and two Ophthalmologists. Performing exams ranging from the regular annual check-up to Cataract surgery post-ops.
Soon after graduation, Dr. Dalton got engaged to her now fiancé, with a wedding planned for 2019. She and her fiance enjoy playing computer games, visiting Disneyland, and traveling.
